Mrs. Galgon’s first grade class enjoyed Leonardo the Terrible Monster by Mo Willems.

Leonoardo had two problems, he was little and he wasn’t scary. Try as hard as he might, he couldn’t scare anybody. Then he did some research and found Sam.

Here are the parts of the story that the first grade students liked the best:

• Ava liked the part where Leonardo tried to scare Sam.
• Janai liked the picture of Sam crying.
• Mika’La liked how Sam told why he was crying.
• Tyava liked the part where they became friends.
• Marleel liked how they chased each other at the end of the story.
