Barbara Jordan: Congresswoman by Linda Carlson Johnson

Congresswoman by Linda Carlson Johnson

Barbara Jordan: Congresswoman, by Linda Carlson Johnson, is fun to read. It tells about a girl named Barbara Jordan who became a lawyer, a state senator, a member of the US Congress, and a college teacher.  She also became an American hero.  She had a powerful voice and an amazing mind.  Her mother and father were named Ben and Arlyne Jordan. She had to find money to start her own law firm. She started out in hr mother’s kitchen. I really like this book because it shows that you can be anything you want.  All you have to do is try.
