So you would like to make your own website. First get your parents’ permission. Then go to http://wordpress.com and follow their instructions. You will need to give yourself a screen name and a password. Check with me at school and I can help you more. Jawaun wants to start one too.

    • Thank you Jasmir. You have melted my heart. I do miss reading good books to my students and I’m regularly looking into the faces of children I see around town to see if I remember them. Whose class are you in this year? Maybe I could visit your class and read a book or two one day soon.

  19. Hi Janice!
I stumbled upon your blog and am always so happy to find someone else who works in the library field. I’m a clerk at our local branch library in Indiana and wanted to say hello to you, another person who’s part of the library family.

And I find your blog very well put together and engaging!

    - Rachel

    • Thank you for your kind words. I enjoyed writing this blog while I was working as a school librarian. I am now retired so it is harder to find time to write on this blog since it was intended to be a place to interact with students about the books I was reading to them. I miss the students and the books a lot.

BTW, I grew up in Indiana.
